OK, I have tried this with 2 different people.

Both had their desktop color settings at Medium 16Bit

Once they had increased this setting to High 32Bit VAFS ran smooth.

This may be the quick resolution.

Mike,

I had my machine set to 16 bit graphics, after changing it to 32 bits everything is working fine.

Boy, that was a lot easier than the registry edit I was about to delve into....

Mmm.. Very interesting.
I'm running an older machine with onboard video... it can't do 32-bit, only 16 and 24.
24 didn't seem to work.

Does this mean older machines won't be able to run VAFS3??
