I installed VAFS3 the other day to see if would work this time and it didnt. When I try to open VAFS or VCAS it says "Connection to the VAFS server could not be esablished. Please try again in 15 minutes. VACS Will now close." I Downloaded FSUIPC I downloaded and installed the MYSQL and nothing worked. What should i do?

Hi NukeSniper

This is just a stab in teh dark!!

do you have a router or dial up
do you have a firewall installed
has vafs3 and/or Vcas been allowed to acces this firewall and then passthrough

Its sounds more like and issue trying to to get connected to the server more than flight sim.

for some reason the other day my dsl went down and I coould not use either software apps until teh connection was re0established

Hope this helps

Cheers

Well we know that you can get to the site, so that means there are no network problems with VAFS.

There has to be something blocking it. I know it sounds like a cop out but if it wont detect the internet then something from your computer or router is blocking it.

It is hard for me to tell what would be doing that if your firewall is off and you are not running any a/v

Hi,

I'm having the same problem. I looked at the errorlog file in VAFS directory and there's this line:
03/15/2008 08:13 - SRC: M_MYSQL_CLOSEMYSQL          LINE: 20          DES: 429 - ActiveX component can't create object

My internet connection is OK, have no firewall.

Thanks for any help.

OK That error is something different.

I would completely uninstall VAFS3, including the folder itself after you run the uninstall. Then go to your add/remove programs and uninstall the MySQL connector. Then do a full reinstall of VAFS3.
